In order to promote and enhance our visitors experience, certain articles, posts, and pages on the YAVP web site allow for member comments and other feedback.

To ensure this is a pleasant and rewarding privledge, the following details our policies regarding comments, trackbacks, and other feeback.

These guidelines may be changed, edited, amended or updated at any  time, with or without notice.

Comments Policy

YAVP welcomes comments from everyone. We will not moderate, delete or censor comments as long as the comment and commenter adhere to these guidelines:

1. Don’t feed the trolls
2. Don’t be a troll.
3. Parent comments should be on topic or at least related to the main article, post or page content.
4. No comment or response may contain foul or abusive language. This includes using mispellings, used of ***, and other methods to circumvent the censors.
5. No personal attacks. This includes abusive language, name calling, flaming or other nasties. Keep things civilized.
6. No posting of email addresses, physical address, or other personal information.
7. No links to porn, advertisements or other materials. A short link to related pieces of software, reference materials, articles or such are allowed.
8. Opposing views on a topic are fine. Keep it civil and keep it on topic. See Number 5 above.
9. No violations of anyone’s copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets or patents.
10. No links, instructions, or suggestions on how to perform illegal activities. This includes links to cracks, hacks, copyright or other circumvention methods.
11. No images, videos, or animations in comments. This slows down everyones viewing. A RELEVANT link is acceptable, for example a link to a YouTube video or image on your own server.
12. No political or religious debates or comments. There are other places for that.
13. No legal, financial, stock or other similar advice. When in doubt, consult a professional, not a tech blog.

If you follow the above and use common sense, things will be fine.

If you do not follow these guidelines, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to:

1. Edit a comment. This includes removing inappropriate links, images, and language.
2. Remove a comment completely
3. Deactivate a members account
4. Block a members IP and delete their account
5. Contact a law enforcement agency

We are the final authority on what actions to take and as such, further posting about how unfairly you were treated will not get you anywhere.
